Acer laevigatum var. salweenense (Smith) Cowan ex Fang
The characteristic of var. laevigatum is evergreen, 10-15m,
leaf blade light green on both surfaces, leathery or papery leaf unlobed, oblong or ovate
nutlets strongly convex,
flowers, inflorescence, pedicels and petioles glabrous.
The characteristic of var. salweenense is similar to that of var. laevigatum,
but flowers, inflorescence, pedicels and petioles pubescent.
