Visit to Kenroku-en & Maples
I visited Kenroku-en to see Kotoji Stone Lantern with a maple on Sep. 27, 2007.
I entered at Mayumizaka-guchi Gate.

Greenness of Hisago-ike Pond was impressive.

Passing through Midori Waterfall at Hisago-ike Pond, seeing Fountain, I reached Kotoji Stone Lantern with a maple.

When looking back, I was surprised and fascinated at the beautiful Karasaki-matsu pine tree.

There are planted broadleaf trees at Tsukiyama, Yamazaki-yama hill that is called "Momijiyama".
Designing & management of stream for garden seems interesting, here is used Tatsumi Yosui canal.
Tatsumi Yosui canal makes a curving stream, and it passes through Sekirei island to Kasumiga-ike pond.

Going west, I encountered a big Neagari-matsu pine tree.

Going west from Neagari Pine, I saw an old maple tree near Plum garden.
This maple seemed to be the oldest one at Kenroku-en Garden.
It was nice to see Kotoji Stone Lantern with a maple.
