My favorite maples in 2010

It's a seedling of Acer australe that is posing in an affected manner in the center.
Nextly, Acer distylum !
The new leaves show pinkness during only a sprouting time.
This pink heart is very charming.
The leaf becomes from pink to green in a week as it will be.

Nextly, Acer miyabei !
Each three seedlings which I got from Hokkaido are growing well.

The last is the sugar maple from Florida,
Acer floridanum or Acer barbatum.
On the sugar maple, five kinds of subspecies are known including a standard species Acer saccharum ssp. saccharum.
