The class reunion of university days was held in Kyoto,
and we took a walk through Tenryu-ji Temple garden with friends.

It was for the third time for me.

The cape and a solitary islet, one of the most beautiful components of this garden, I believe !

I visited Tenryuji Temple on Sep.04, 2007. Walking from Chokushi-mon Gate, passing through the main Approuch to the west, you will see Hattoh (lecture house), Dai-Hohjoh (abbot's chamber) and Kuri (priest' living quaters). We entered Sohgenchi Garden at Kuri. It is said that MUSOH Soseki made this Sohgenchi Garden bringing in Arashiyama Hill & Kameyama Hill as the background.

An outstanding maple at the right side of Kare-taki

An old maple between Daihohjoh & Hattoh

There are many maples along the visiting course from the south side of the pond up to the North Gate.

You will surely enjoy autumn colors.
