Visit to the Garden of "Shuon-an Ikkyu-ji Temple"
102 Takigi Satonouchi Kyotanabe city Ktoto Pref.
I visited here on November 20, 2008.
The Main Gate of "Shuon-an Ikkyu-ji Temple" with colored maples
The scenery of the approach with colored maples
The approach in front of "Kannon-doh" Hall , the mausoleum grave where Priest Ikkyu-zenji is enshrined
Scenery in front of the Main Hall
The garden of the Hohjoh "the Abbot's Hall" consists of the south garden,
the east garden, and the north garden.
The south garden of Hohjoh Hall seen from the west side
You would see azalea, sasanqua and cycad in the garden.
The house "Kannondoh"over the hedge is the mausoleum grave where Priest Ikkyu-zenji is enshrined.
The east garden & the north garden seen from the south corner of the east hallway of Hohjoh Hall
Because of the strong sunlight this image became contrasty, so I wished it had been cloudy that day.
The north garden is a dry landscape garden where the waterfall is represented by stone formation.
It's a problem that I should study how to take pictute on the day of the strong sunlight .
At last, I was able to escape from the strength of the sunlight and felt relaxed.
I could enjoy the burning autumn colors.
