Ninomaru Palace Garden
541Nijohjoh-cho Njoh-dohri Horikawa Nishi-iru Nakagyo-ku Kyoto
I visited Ninomaru Palace Garden on May 18, 2008.
It was so fine that I got images of over contrast.
You can see the Main Porch "Okuruma-yose" through Chinese style gate "Karamon".
The following image is the first view from south of Ohhiroma.
Southern part of the garden seen from the east side, You see Stone bridge, Crane islet at the center back.
Scene from the corner between Black Guest house "Kuro-shoin" & Big Guest house "Ohhiroma"
Let me show you some components of garden such as Waterfall, Crane Islet, Tortoise Islet and Hohrai Island.
Waterfall is located at the northwestern part of this Garden.
It's a front view from No.1 Room "Ichinoma" of the Ohhiroma.
At the right side of this photo you see a triangular stone meaning the Crane wing.
Stone-group including the triangular stone is called Tsurushima i.e. Crane Islet.
You see Tortoise Islet "Kameshima", Stone Bridge to Hohrai Island and Bridge to the shore on the other side.
Hohrai-Island seen from Kuro-shoin.
The following is my favorite image.
Tha last image is just a free gift.
Mt. Hiei seen from the Castle Tower "Tenshukaku".
