The Minobu River with the headwaters in Mt. Minobu flows near the Kuon-ji Temple, joins the Hakii river and flows into the Fujigawa river. Travelers walked the road which is along the Minobu river.The Minobu river flows raising waves. Mountains soar beyond the welling mist. Fuji shows its face among the mountains.
When you climb up to the mountaintop of Mt. Minobu of 1153 m above sea level "Oku-no-in" by using the ropeway, you will be able to see Mt. Fuji beyond the eastern mountains "Tenshi-sankai".

The Fujikawa river, the town of Minobu, and the Tenshi mountains are seen in the southeast.

The old road called "Kousun Oukando" which connects the Suruga and Kai, including Kajikazawa and Saigyo-pass, overlaps with the current Route 52. Here, Suruga is the old name of Shizuoka city and its vicinity, and Kai is that of Kofu city.
You would see these Fuji from the Minobu Road (the current Route 52), such as Fuji seen from Honmachi in Fujikawa town, Fuji seen from Nishijima-cho in Minobu-town, Fuji seen from the summit of Mt. Minobu, and Fuji seen from Saigyo Pass in Nanbu town, as follows;
I guess that the glimpse of these Fuji along the way gave a sense of relief and excitement to travelers who walked on the Minobu Road along the Fujikawa river.
