There is a pine tree of 650 years old called "Hagoromo-no-matsu" with the legend
that a celestial maiden descended down dancing on the beach.

Noh play "Hagoromo (Feathers Robe)" is held in October every year
on the stage of the legend "Hagoromo."

It is said, according to legend, a celestial maiden throwed her Robe over the branches of this pine tree.

Miho seaside & Fuji
Scenery of Miho has also been represented by many Japanese painters. The following is a piece of Japanese Ukiyoe print "Ejiri", one of "53 pieces of Scenery of Tohkaido" by UTAGAWA Hiroshige. The place name Ejiri is located at Shimizu-area in Shizuoka city. Miho coast would have been seen from the opposite bank Ejiri as if it were the pine grove floating on the sea.
