Kohtoh-in Garden of Daitokuji Temple

I visited here on Nov. 21, 2008.

According to the brochure,

"The approach from the Front Gate, right-angled to the right, to a Chinese-style gate are stone-paved paths of the natural stones. The straight approach, under a canopy of green leaves in the spring and summer and the colored leaves in the autumn, is full of unearthly and profound atmosphere. The south garden of the Guest Hall, was built in the early Edo period, and is full of rural beauty, mainly with maple trees. ..........."

When you enter the front entrance, you will turn to the left at the end firstly.
Passing through the Front Gate "Omote mon", you will turn to the right at the end secondly.
Then, you will go ahead on the straight approach up to the Chinese-style gate.
Turning to the right thirdly at the front of Chinese-style gate, you will finally reach the Hall Gate "Genkan".
