The Kitabatakes -yakataato Garden & maple
Kamitage Misugi-cho Tsu City Mie Pref.
I visited this garden under evening sun on Oct. 15, 2008.
Entering at the gate of garden, I was surprised to see the big vivid Tortoise Stone.
By this Stone bridge this garden is seperated into the East garden & the West garden.
Let me show you the West garden at first.
The West garden, composed of the west pond, groups of stones and maples, seen from the Central bridge
From the West garden we see a scene composed of maples & the stones at the right side of the bridge.
Various kinds of stones & Kome-ji-ike i.e. pond whose shape is like as Japanese character for Rice
Tsudumi-no-taki (waterfall) & Mizuwakeishi i.e. Water-distributing stones
The East garden, composed of the east pond, groups of stones and maples, seen from the central bridge
Stones of the East garden are composed of stones around Kohshi-iwa of that side and stones of this side.
