Johruriji Temple Garden
Nishio Kamo-cho Kidugawa City Kyoto Pref.
I visited this garden on Dec. 18, 2007.

I felt that the Nine Amitabha Buddha have solemnity and vigor.
Along the right (west) side of the approach range Japanese andromeda.
UL : Temple gate, LL : Hondoh (Main House) where 9 Amida-Butu, ranging north and south, were installed
Right : Three-storied Pagoda facing Main House each other with Hohchi pond between them
Let's check the linearity of three components as Hondoh Lantern, Stone on the pond and Lantern in front of the Pagoda.

Let's check again the relation of position among the Hondoh lantern of this side,
a stone on the pond and the lantern in front of stone steps of Three sroried Pagoda.

Nextly, let's check the linearity seen from Pagoda side on the contrary.
A little difficult to see, but we could confirm the linearity among these three components.
This means that we could check that the sun rises in the east (i.e. Pagoda) and sets in the west (i.e. the center of Hondoh) only on two days as the Vernal Equinox Day & the Autumn Equinox Day. I realized that Johruriji garden was a quiet and relaxing Johdo-style garden as well as Byohdoh-in in Uji city and Mohtsuji Temple in Hraizumi-cho.
