I visited for the second time on Nov.11,2008. It was cloudy.
I showed some photos mainly on maples before, so I will show you pictures mainly on garden this time.

Hearing that there are Gigantic trident maples remembered in connection with Tycoon Yoshimune, I visited Hamarikyu Garden on Aug. 29, 2007. It takes about 15 minutes from JR Shinbashi station on foot.
It is said that trident maple (Toh-kaede) was brought from China to Japan in 1721. Tycoon Yoshimune came into power from 1716 to 1745, and died in 1751. If young trees had been 10 years old, these maple trees would be 280+-15 years old at present, I think.
You can see 5 gigantic trident maples at red point on the map.
Entering at Ohtemon gate, you will soon find grand pine of 300 years old.
This Japanese maple also should be an artistic tree.
Passing through Otsutaibashi bridge, turning to the right at tea house on Nakajima island,
and passing Nakajima bridge, we reached the maple trees.
Let me show you the first gigantic maple whose trunk diameter is more than 1 meter.
You can see Otsutaibashi bridge, Tea house and Nakajimabashi at the back of this maple.
After a few steps, you will see the biggest gigantic maple.
Let's approach the tree of the right side.
This maple would be the largest one here.
