Visit to Entokuin Garden

I visited on Nov. 22, 2008.

Firstly the South Garden !

The south garden made by TOKUMURA Soh-etsu

Secondly, the North Garden !

It is unusual to arrange so many massive rocks in abundance for the garden like this.

It seems to be the luxury peculiar to the Momoyama era.

I will show you the whole image.

From the left to the right, the Stone bridge Left, the Crane Islet with a pine tree,
the Stone bridge Middle, the Turtle Islet and the Stone bridge Right

I will show you the stone formation of the dry waterfall (located at the center back in the above photograph).

Nextly, I will show you the Crane islet and the Turtle Islet.

I will show you three bridges.

Stone Bridge Left connects the left side shore and the Crane islet

Stone Bridge Middle connects the Crane islet and the Turtle islet

Stone Bridge Right connects the Turtle Islet and the right side shore.

Lastly, I will show you the total garden image again.

It is a gorgeous garden with a sense of existence.

The gorgeousness of the stones formation reminds me of the Ninomaru Garden of the Nijo Castle.
