On botanical classification system

As a botanical classification system, those words of classification are mentioned, such as division(phylum), subdivision, class, order, family, genus, section, series, species, subspecies, variety and form.

Let me try to describe a kind of maple fukagire-omomiji(f. palmatipartitum) as an example after this method. These are based on document No 4 from division to species, and based on document No 3 by Prof.Ogata(1965) from subspecies to form.

division(phylum)

Embryophyta/Shiphonogama

subdivision

Angiospermae

class

Dicotyledonae

order

Sapindoles

family

Aceraceae Jussieu.

genus

Acer L.

section

Palmata Pax

series

Palmata Pax

species

Acer palmatum

subspecies

ssp.amoenum

variety

var.amoenum

form, forma

f. palmatipartitum

In the maple lists of this homepage, species, subspecies, variety and form are not always described strictly. I beg a thousand pardons for some defective points. For there are subtle differences in methods of classification among botanists and it is difficult for me an amateur to understand. So, it seems difficult for some parts to be expressed by one general pattern. If interested in this region, please confirm by specialized books etc.
I would only like to introduce an expression form like this.
