Visit to Chishaku-in Temple Garden

I visited Chishaku-in Temple to see "Kaede-zu" by HASEGAWA Toh-haku on Oct.14, 2008.

The garden, east of the Hall "Dai-shoin", is composed of
a long pond ranging north & south and a hill "Tsuki-yama" of the opposite side.

It is said that strong cascade stone composition of the middle of a hill "Tsuki-yama" was a taste of the Edo era.

The pond reaches under the hallway of the hall "Dai-shoin."

The southern side of the garden seen from the north.
The back part of the central bridge is said to have been made in the end of the Momoyama era.
