Maples around Mt. Mizugaki
On Oct. 10. 2005, I went to Mt. Mizugaki to investigate Acer australe.
Besides Acer australe, I observed Acer rufinerve, Acer micranthum, Acer argutum, Acer distylum and so on.
Let me show you Acer australe at first. I expected to see their fruits, but I could not find them at all.
Next, I will show you shape of trees in the rain and yellow leaves on the moss.
I saw yellow leaves of Acer ukurunduense.
As they
were in the rain, it was interesting that they looked like a monochrome
painting with yellow leaves.
Then, I picked up reddish leaves of Acer
ukurunduense and put them on
the moss.
The next reddish leaves are those of Acer micranthum. It was an atmosphere with a particular flavor in the rain.
The following are Acer argutum with mingled yellow leaves and green leaves. I took pictures of their fruits.
The following are fruits of Acer distylum. Fruit are looking upward.
