Mt. Chausu in mid May

@I went to the Highland of Mt. Chausu via Aichi Recreation Forest & Yukiyoshi shrine on May 14, 2005.

It was time maples were in full bloom or they were changing their flowers into fruits.

Fruits of Hananoki (Acer pycnanthum) ripen before summer
as well as those of Red maple and Silver maple from North America.

In Yukiyoshi shrine about 900 m above the sea level, we could see pinkish young fruits of Hananoki.
